Kajaki. The True Story is a portrait of a harrowing real life event in the midst of the Afghanistan conflict, and a modern British war film. It depicts an incident involving a group of soldiers, mostly from the British Army’s 3rd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment (3 Para), who were trapped in a minefield while stationed at the Kajaki Dam in Afghanistan in 2006.

“…It’s gripping and tense. Unsqueamish in its depiction of injury, convincing in its portrayal of warfare.”. MARK KERMODE, THE OBSERVER

…the story is gripping and the men’s grim, and very British, sense of humour is nicely captured. This is a welcome alternative to ultra-American equivalents such as Lone Survivor“. ED PORTER, SUNDAY TIMES, CULTURE
