Inside Conflict: War through the lens of Soldier and Civilians: A one day symposium exploring the potential links between diverse lens-based depictions of war produced in the ‘first person’ alongside the inter-disciplinary possibilities their study makes available

WAM hosted film Screening of BAFTA nominated film ‘Kajaki‘ with Q&A with Director Paul Katis and Producer Andrew De Lotbiniere.

The filming of the REFRAME Conversations‘ video Unseen Enemy: War Stories in Public Spaces draws on the British National Army Museum’s “Unseen Enemy” exhibition (2013-2014) to explore the ways in which museums – as cultural public spaces – are used to tell stories of war and the combat experience.

WAM hosted film Screening of winner of Raindance Best Feature Film ‘The Patrol’ with Q&A with Director Tom Petch.

The War and the Body exhibition which explored the intertwining of war and body in the drawing, painting, photography and installation artwork of a selection of artists. The exhibition considered how the body in war is transformed, classified, displayed, utilised, represented and produced through the visual art form.
