The War Experience Project visualizes the burden that service military veterans carry. It consists of uniforms, painted upon by military veterans. In this work, Rick deconstructs the notion of the militarized, mechanised body in war to show us the emotional, individual person as the wearer of uniform. In this sense, it implies a resistance to the homogenized, military body despite the uniform.
