ISA-ICOMM Conference “Communication, Peace and Security in the 21st Century”
March 15th
Location: Georgia State University, Atlanta, Georgia, USA
Description: This conference is concerned with two developments highlight the first decade and a half of the 21st Century: Information abundance and the ubiquity of mobile communication devices. While these trends are believed to have facilitated political uprisings and revolutions, there is much debate over whether they have increased the world’s peace and security. This special one-day conference examines this important question at the international, state and individual level.
Speakers include: Professors Robert Entman (George Washington University), Lene Hansen (University of Copenhagen), Steven Livingston (George Washington University) and Phil Seib (University of Southern California)
